Re: Ancient Cities Still Around Today

As far as Cairo is concerned, Hazrat Musa AS was present at around 1300 BC, and the pharoahs were ruling Egypt much before that...So you can imagine how ancient the culture would have been.

Re: Ancient Cities Still Around Today

How come no one mentioned Sana’a? It is said that it is the oldest continuously inhabited city I heard its been around since Queen Sheba’s time, and may I add, it’s an utterly gorgeous city. One of the places I would like to visit in my life time. sigh

Re: Ancient Cities Still Around Today

^ I have read that the continuously inhabited city is Damascus. So which city is the oldest in the subcontinent?

Re: Ancient Cities Still Around Today

If you see the oldest cities of the world you will find them in Israel, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. And then the countries closer to them including Iraq, Egypt, and Greece. No wonder almost all the prophets also came in that region.

Re: Ancient Cities Still Around Today
