i dont know about indians going to iran for work but i can tell you that thousands of iranians come to india every year for higher studies... pune is full of them. especially irani girls..

When Shah ruled Iran , Indians were working in Iran in large numbers. Many professionals working in Iran were Indians. Indians stopped going to Iran when the Ayatollahs came to power.
