Some people wear hijabs and pound religion not for virtue but for attention, she chooses to dress in a way she pleases and only a sick oppressive society will force a woman to dress in a way she does not want to. She is a hundred time better than the abusive parents who condone the actions of their sons but condemn her for her choice of clothing. People should feel ashamed for not empathising with a victim of that jahil misogynistic mindset where the husband can go get drunk and screw around and the wifey needs to be locked up in a hijabi prison.

Yes, some women DO indeed wear hijab for attention and not virtue. But their wrong intentions do not dismiss the importance of wearing clothes that impart dignity to a person’s image. You tend to see only the negative in religion and religious people and that, too, is another form of narrow-mindedness.

Anyhow, I believe that you’re being a bit too defensive of Faryal. Sometimes the youngsters like Third String can see more clearly than those that have been around longer, lol. You can carry on with nursing a bleeding heart for the girl…but really…it takes two hands to clap, two people to tango…and both faryal and aamir are a “hot mess” just as individuals…let alone as a couple. You’re really better off saving that auraton jesi humdardi and naram-dilli for their child, Lamaysah. Even the women-folk (those that are objective and not blinded by feminism) recognize that Faryal is not wholly innocent.
