Wait one darn minute there Mister. Just because I refuse to call you a sniveling, whining, America bashing, terrorist loving disgrace in some idiotic threads where people are wetting their pants about events that never happened, doesn’t mean I won’t do so at the appropriate time. I have not withdrawn from the race. I have just strategically provided myself some R&R for the moment.
To paraphrase a couple fine, upstanding Americans who could have been American Guppy’s of the Year had they only been exposed to the Guppian universe during their lifetimes: “If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve. If impeached, you’ll have to pry the award out of my cold, dead arms.”

myvoice.... Ohioguy needs some serious rigging in voting to have any kind of chance to get to American Guppy of the Year. He is already up against some serious competition, and putting your name in the hat will effectively seal his fate. I say you either take pity on him, or else make a deal with him... come on, take a feather out of Delay's cap and think win-win.

I dont manage to get myself banned, its the stupid policies of this forum that get me banned, and its not every now and then it only happened once (however I wouldnt be surprised if it happened again). Now what is the gripe? You still seem to be pissed off at the fact that instead of supporting the rioters I dug up a story on smugglers. I guess that must be quite “perplexing” for you.
I am not drawing parallels here with US Army and smugglers, you are. All I did was highlight the fact that there has been silence in muslim world over desecration and other incindents where muslims have been a part of, and violent riots when it was percieved that west may have been involved.
Here is another example for you. Whomever tookover Mecca in late 70s or early 80s resulted in American consulate/embassy being burnt in Islamabad.
You want to equate military in general with terrorism then you would need to change the history books and label all armies in the past as terrorists, that would include all Muslim armies as well. Oh and dont forget the mighty Pakistani Army that won all wars asgainst India and Israel (Please talk to Che regarding the so called Pakistani invasion of Israeli air-space).
So what do you want to discuss?

i don't think anybody here believes desecrating the Quran is acceptable behavior or is advocating such practices. Certainly, such behavior (whether it happened at Gitmo or not) is deplorable. The point that many are trying to drive home is simply that Muslims have no moral highground (as many guppies clearly believe) to stand on while condemning these various cases. selective condemnation and selective indifference is what irritates others more than anything. I'm sure you can understand this perspective, haina? i don't think it's all that unreasonable.
