It is a manifestation of discrimination that goes on anywhere. It's not just one incident. Racism still happens in America, and it's bad. And it's not just the small towns , it's bigger cities too. People get hired/fired on this stuff even today.

Why the heck do you think that in positions of power, there aren't a lot of colored people? Is it really because colored people are lazy and don't work hard enough? That's a load of BS.

what do you mean by 'colored people'? do you include Desi people in that skin color? if you do then it's not right...Desis are hard working people. they are least in number on welfare rolls as compared to other ethnic groups. you can find Desi Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, Economists, IT people every where in North America, Europe and Australia.

I thought I would never see Humvee on American streets. But people better get used to it. Police departments are acquiring more and more weapons from the pentagon and the result is for everyone to see. Highly militarized police pointing their assault rifles at the people, like they are dealing with enemy combatants. And the culture of shoot first, ask question later will only cause more unrest among people.
