It was more of a 'warning' to 'free media' to keep control of what they publish.

Does MQM think by doing goonda gardee in Karachi they can get Altaf released? Well they should think again. Scotland Yard has moved against him after making sure he can be implicated in the money laundering case. Depends now whether he can get bail or not.

No such thing, people do not come out on streets here and especially to support a shady person like him. Apart from his followers no one cares about him in London and locals dont even know about him.

Nawaz is in Pakistan and no one will be arresting him there.

Most of the money laundering proofs against him were investigated and discovered by BBC itself...so the brits have all they need. All Paksitan needs to do is launch a campaign similar to the one launched against Altaf Hussain to get him arrested. NS will not be arrested in Pakistan, may not be arrested in the UK, but most of his family's assets are there, so he would have a major cause for concern.
I wouldnt be surprised if all of a sudden, we start seeing millions and possibly even billions coming into Pakistan in the form of 'foreign investment'.

One thing that'll happen now is that those ppl in MQM who wanted to get out but couldn't due to all sort of possible threats will now come out of closet. And that'll just complicate things for MQM. I'm very worried about karachiettes right now

London Police has confirmed that Altaf has been transfered to a police station for booking.

It is customary in UK not to name a person till he has been formally charged.
