If he does die, I am not going to shed any tears. But if you think the "Urdu speaking problem" disappears, then you guys are day dreaming. Instead of having wet dreams about this man's death, why not defang Muhajir nationalism by giving them the rights that they deserve. Instead, we follow the Kashmir method, fill the place up with thousands of soldiers, induldge in extra judicial killings, and rig elections. You give the Muhajirs there rights, and Altaf will die a lonely man in London. But thats never going to happen, so guys this Rajnekant look alike will remain in your lives.

Muhajirs are probably the second most affluent community and by virtue of living in urban areas have access to resources most Pakistanies dont have. this false victimhood rings hollow if you ever step out of your privileged deprivation and see what lifes like where Rajnikant thinks the world ends.

You are using the same argument the Han Chinese use towards the Tibetans or the Isrealis towards the Palestinians. Actually, Hamas is a great analogy. The Isrealis use everything but negotiations, and they get lumped with Hamas. The Pakistani establishment has done the same with the urdu speakers, it keeps sending regiment after regiment of Soldiers and Rangers, and yet instead of repressing them, they get the bhai. So be honest, give the people the rights they deserve instead of coming with the rubbish that they are previledged. My moto equal rights for all. Talk about exaggeration. Not only are Israel and Palestine two separate governments, urdu speakers are full citizens, and only real grievances revolve around allocation of seats in govt institutions. But yea compare yourself to Tibetans and palestinians.

Really? Just depends on the definition of ‘rights’ doesnt it? What if I said the right to be educated should be equal. The right of access to healthcare should be equal. Which ethnic group/region of Pakistan most suffers in that regard? Who are oppressed there, Muhajirs?
It is a copout to say that open competition means equality. Open competition means the perpetuation of the inequities of the status quo.
First off, all of those are good ideas. Lacking that however people in Karachi and Hyderabad are much better off than anywhere else in Pakistan. Accessto 46% of the tax base, 30% of the manufacturing sector and the largest economy of any area in the country means they are better off than most places. So raise a voice for better systems, but dont present to us a picture where Bhai is a necessary consequence of the gross injustices perpetrated upon the long, silently weeping community of urdu speakers.
