Why doesn't Altaf "bhai" come to Pakistan and address his beloved voters. Maybe that will have a stronger effect than tele"phony" addresses

KARACHI: Intense firing creates panic in Dhoraji
By Our Staff Reporter
KARACHI, Aug 8: Tension gripped New Dhoraji Society and adjoining areas located on Abul Hasan Isphahani Road as two groups traded intense fire late in a shoot-out that continued into the early hours of Friday. However, no casualty was reported in the incident, police said.
Anticipating what they described as a Taliban offensive around the Dhoraji Society, area youths belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement were keeping a watch on any sort of suspicious activity during the night when some people said to be residing in Al Asif Square and neighboring settlements allegedly opened fire on them, police said.
This triggered a retaliatory response from the area youths and the exchange of fire continued for several hours, creating panic in the adjoining localities.
Sources in the police said that members of both the groups were called to the office of the Gulshan DSP on Friday evening. They were asked to desist from such activities in future with a warning that cases would be registered against them for creating a law and order situation in the area, the sources added.
A few weeks ago a firing incident on Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, which links University Road and the Super Highway, claimed three lives. Each deceased belonged to a different group.
Is this the beginning of “Taliban” attacks? or just patakhay?
First of all, while its not certain who they were fighting (or who this drama was for), one thing is for sure, MQM is engaging in militancy, even if they claim to fight these imaginary Taliban warriors. Who are they to take the law into their own hands? Today Altaf was on the news squeling 'aaah aaaa aaah merey sindh ko taliban sey bacha ley aaah aaah aaah'. Its pretty clear they are trying to engage the Pakhtun community of Karachi and using the Taliban angle as an excuse.
Re: Altaf Bhai says people of Sindh will never let Talibanisation of Karachi.
I think a TALIBAN strike is imminent on the city.Pls do not take it otherwise. They have madeit clear. They will definitely live up to a show-off.I think authorities have to be careful.

TALIBAN Threat is Ticking like "Time-Bomb" over All Cities of Pakistan, and this is going to explode every where sooner or later.
Karachi seems to be one of the first Victim, as none other Part of Pakistan or Political Parties showing any Resistance to Taliban as Karachi and MQM.
These yawning and sleeping Guys said the similar things when Taliban threat was warned in FATA Areas. And today Taliban has slaughtered and killed thousands of Pak Army Jawans, Tribal People and Leaders loyal to Pakistan, Barailvi Muslims, Shia Muslims, ..... set fire to more than 150 Girl Schools/Colleges and thousands of Pak Girls are not able to study.............. in brief a lot of Fitna in FATA areas which never existed before Taliban.

HYDERABAD: Altaf trying to incite ethnic riots: Magsi -DAWN - Local; August 10, 2008
^^
Brother,
This seems to be only a political Statement by Mr. Magsi of Sindhi Party and has nothing to do with real situation in Karachi.
That is the real situation and he speaks the truth. MQM carried out many blood baths. The last one was May 12 massacre.

I see and you are monitoring this from south india? if you knew where karachi was (check a map), and how its like, and lastly didnt take altaf bhai seriously, you wouldnt even start a thread here.

Altaf is trying to divert his followers attention away from mushy's impeachment, and this talibanization issue is something he is trying desperately to orchestrate and using it to create more anti-pakhtun senitments amongst his mureeds.
Musharaf, hailing from the same group as Altaf Hussain, as the president of Pakistan, has been the exlusive incharge of FATA affairs since he snatched power in 1999. ISI is being headed by Taj Akbar, another person from the same group. In the past it had been headed for a long time by Gen Ihsan, yet another person from the same group.
Under Musharaf as the incharge of FATA and Taj Akbar as head of ISI militancy has gown in FATA.
Serious quarters are suspecious of the role of the above figures in fanning the militancy.
lolzzzzzzz
I was going to miss this video. I am glad I didn’t. hahaha

Re: Altaf Bhai says people of Sindh will never let Talibanisation of Karachi.
Nearly a week ago, mainly christian people of the Essa Nagri were protesting on the main Sir Shah Suleman Road around 11 pm. While they were throwing stones and burning tyres the cars and other vehicles stopped just before the place. Meanwhile some armed opportuninits came from the streets around the area and looted the people stucked on the road by taking their mobiles and other valuables and forced them to leave their cars.
Events like these and the one I mentioned above, are probably leading to one of the worst ethinic bloodshed in Karachi. People are already being advised to store ration at their homes.

That sounds like the work of the MQM.
Monster and Saleem Bhai, I think it is a test for Muhajir leadership as how wisely does it manage the situation. As the dominent community, it should play a truly wise and visionary role in order to keep Karachi united and integrated.
What is happening in Pakistan and the region is fall-out from an intricate and brutal game of geopolitics. There are too many conflicting interests stirring up our region.(US, NATO,India, Iran, Saudis, Russia, China, Pakistan, and you name it). I don’t think there would be peace and political settlement on our terms.
I think Karachi and NWFP+FATA are the next battle grounds for a new South Asian order to be decided.
Whoever is aggravating the situation in Karachi and FATA+NWFP is doing bad.
What I want to say is evident from the following articles:
Battle lines move from Kashmir to Kabul
By M K Bhadrakumar
There is wide acclaim today among Indian strategic analysts and diplomatic editors that New Delhi has scored a major diplomatic victory in Afghanistan and that its “influence” in Kabul has “peaked”. This victory has come on the back of Washington’s strategic pro-India tilt and, in the period since end-2001 to date, India’s earmarking of a staggering US$1.2 billion as assistance for Afghan “reconstruction”…
Asia Times Online :: South Asia news, business and economy from India and Pakistan
Following is an excerpt from another article.
“But today very sophisticated terrorist attacks are being planned, organised and funded in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). The attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul involved very sophisticated explosives that have never been used by mujahideen or Taliban, and the Taliban denied being responsible. The attack on President Hamid Karzai in April also involved very sophisticated planning and financing. The records of the mobile phones of those involved show they were constantly telephoning to Pakistan. There is a lot more evidence that very sophisticated terrorist acts are being organised in camps in Fata. By the way, the UN conducted a study of suicide bombings in Afghanistan and concluded that they were organised and planned in Fata (http://www.unama-afg.org/docs/_UNDocs/UNAMA%20%20SUICIDE%20ATTACKS%20STUDY%20-%20SEPT%209th%202007.pdf.) Pakistan’s only response was for its UN representative to demand that the report be taken off the UN website. Pakistan is not just opposing the Northern Alliance or the US – it is standing alone against the UN and NATO”.
**"Russia’s strategic bombers to patrol Indian Ocean **
Russian strategic bombers may soon start patrolling the Indian Ocean, said Colonel General Alexander Zelin, commander-in- chief of Russia’s Air Force, a few days before a joint U.S.-India exercise kicks off.
Russia, like the U.S., ceased strategic patrols in 1992, but 15 years later decided to resume the practice - on August 17, 2007 its aircraft flew their first patrol missions over five areas. They have only made one demonstration flight to the Indian Ocean, while patrols over the North Atlantic and the Pacific continue…"

Re: Altaf Bhai says people of Sindh will never let Talibanisation of Karachi.
In order to neutralize any taliban influence in Karachi, MQM should take ANP into confidence as ANP also opposes talibans.
