Altaf advises Zardari to resign...

^^^ Looks like PM Gilani just finalized it :) ;)

The mota gangster upto his usu. (dirty) tricks....BLACKMAILING Government!

And it seems like Altaf had the last word!

Government does a u-turn on tabling NRO in parliament. Pathetic..

The government on Monday decided against tabling the controversial National Reconciliation Ordinance in parliament for approval.

In a statement issued by the Presidency after a high-level meeting of the ruling alliance, President’s Spokesman Farhatullah Babar said, “The meeting endorsed the position taken by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on the floor of the House on Monday and decided not to take the NRO to parliament.”

Prime Minister Gilani, JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali and MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar held a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari before the president addressed parliamentarians of the ruling coalition at a dinner meeting. He told them that he had mandated the prime minister to continue consultations with the political parties for a political conciliation.

‘Legal and constitutional’: Sources privy to the meeting told Daily Times that the allied parties asked the Pakistan People’s Party to withdraw the NRO and tap other “legal and constitutional” means to deal with the situation emanating from the withdrawal of the NRO.

They said opposition from some senior party leaders and allies led the government to “go on the back foot” regarding its stance on the NRO as the MQM, the ANP and the PML-Functional had refused to support the legislation during a vote in parliament. The sources said under immense public pressure, the JUI-F was inclined to abstain from voting, leaving the PPP in a dilemma to get the controversial law passed by parliament.

Earlier, addressing the National Assembly, Gilani said, “We have yet to determine what to do (regarding the NRO). We have not brought it to parliament (for approval)… we are considering it and holding consultations with our allies and other friends.” The prime minister said the government would not do anything that could derail the democratic system in the country.

Yes Sireee!

Altaf through his right hand man Sattar did have the "last word" in Prez Zardari's EAR

..
.
.

interesting... especially since MQM's terrorists and thugs were some of the biggest beneficiaries of this ordinance...

and Zardari, PPP, etc might have gotten off financial corruption cases and scams but MQM terrorists got thousands of brutal criminal charges like murder, etc, dropped...

this Altaf Taxidriver Hussein terrorist must have figured out a way to protect himself and his ghundas against criminal charges which is why he is "advising" Zardari to quit now...

Re: Altaf advises Zardari to resign...

and as a concerned Pakistani, I think it is awful that the politicians of this country are playing dirty games over NRO when we are fighting an insurgency that is threatening to turn into a civil war.

PPP might have its warts, etc. but it is the only liberal, pluralistic party in the country and the only one capable of fighting terrorism. Nawaz Sharif and his PML-N haven't even summoned the courage to openly denounce the Taliban. he gives mixed signals and consistently displays a lack of complete support for our troops. less said about idiots like Imran (how I love you man and how much you disappoint me over and over again) and outright hypocrites like Diesel and Qazi, etc the better.

so, thank you very much. I will live with NRO and a liberal government that at least publicly denounces religious extremists and is willing to take them on instead of rightwing reactionary idiots who somehow think that this war will disappear if you close your eyes and wish it away...

"The only one Capable of fighting Terrorism" ,
I donot think you have typed these words keeping in mind the prevailing situations in pakistan.

Just look at the Graph of Sucide attackes , Bomb blasts and the cosequent causalities inpite of Massive operations in Swat , Waziristan ect.
It have increased immensly in the period of "Socalled Capable PPP govt".

@ Dirty Game ,

This dirty game , the Govt wants to start or complete its final round , not the politicains or say opposition or coallition partners... Excluding MQM who are looking for more opportunities always...
They shouldnot have made it so controversial if they are fair with Pakistan and National Interests.
They are Corrupt that is why , they want to legalize their wrong doings otherwise they wont fear if NRO is nullified.

Secondly i fear, this crook Mr.10% will persist for tabling NRO to Parliment , as it could be the ever best opportunity for him , as Pakistanis are More concerned about their Pakistan now.

When you write such things which emits stink of ethinicity, why you forget that people you support are also corrupt? Before you say something on corruption, do your home work first. Read follows: You will find tons of corruption against NS and co. Don’t think people who did not benefit from NRO are parsa.
NS left prison because of deal he stroke with Mush and SA.

Re: Altaf advises Zardari to resign...

^ Pretty stupid argument I would say. NRO applies to people against whom corruption cases were in the courts in the PAST (before the ordinance was promulgated). If someone has evidence against NS, he can still go in courts with it and the proceedings wont be halted because of NRO.

I am sorry if I sounds so “Ethnically Biased” , but still you are associating me to ethnicity that is very strange for me.
:k: ,
For correcting the readers records regarding corruption and Corrupts in Pakistan.
NRO , National Reconcillation Ordinance in under discussion and Majority are in favour NRO not be legalized, but should be nullified instead.
I second this openion that NRO should be thrown away and all those who have looted Pakistan and were in Jails for Crimes should be brought to courts for Justice.
I am not favouring some particular Party here or some where else, either it is Zardari or Nawaz Sharif or some one else they should face the courts for their cases.

Why can’t we wish for a liberal government who does not need laws like NRO to cover their corruption. If we will get it or not is another question. What’s the harm in wishing the best for the country???

By Babar Sattar
The constitution after all cannot produce egalitarianism by ensuring social or economic equality. But it does offer justice through its promise of legal equality. Consequently Article 8 of the constitution holds that parliament has no authority to promulgate laws that contravene fundamental rights. The right to equal protection of law is a fundamental right enshrined in Article 25. The NRO is an instrument designed to grant preferential treatment to certain politicians and save them from the process of law. How can our parliamentarians in their right mind contemplate passing such a law in view of the explicit provisions of the constitution?

Actually by not voting for National Robbery Ordinance in the assembly, Zardari has saved himself because NRO cases will be re-opened by Supreme Court against everybody except the President. According to the constitution, President has immunity. Now we will have to see if MQM ghundas will be able to get bails before their arrest orders by SC at the end of November. Or-else, they will have to leave the country.

Wishful thinking but here's hoping for the best..

Re: Altaf advises Zardari to resign...

their is no difference between Altaf Bhai and Shariff Bhai. Jeay for both.

One thing which I don't understand that NRO would benefit the most corrupt, rapist and mass killers including their leader AH. Why they opposed it?Zardari should not have taken it back. Let it would have been defeated in NA. All cases should be re-instated and killer like AH should have been arrested. Zardari should have accpeted the advise of AH to give sacrifice. His sacrifice would have resulted in mass arrests of criminals.

And to me there is no difference between Zardari, NS and Altaf, all corrupt and chor to the core, Altaf being the worst of the lot

But unlike Zardari and Altaf, NS has not murdered, maimed or tortured anyone, atleast not to my knowledge

or national robbers ornament

Nawaz Sharif is Pakistani (I donot say others are not pakistanis) , he has benifits from a stronger pakistan, his Factories will run smoothly then , His Farmers will give more returns then , His lands will give him more corps then.
That is why he would see Pakistan as stronger, progressive and Prosperous.

Altaf Have already setteled in UK and others will also give him fring benifits,
Zardari is no different then Altaf , known for Dubai and USA.

This is the core difference among them.

This does not imply that Nawaz Sharif is not corrupt , but , at least He would never compromise on Larger National Interests like the others did and settled abroad.

Media quoting "Reliable Internal MQM Sources" that ISI cheif met with Altaf Hussain in London and after that MQM decided not to support NRO.

Army again playing games and political parties supporting Army once again hint

Kiyani - Eitazaz meeting before PCO judges cases decision
