OK if subsidies are withdrawn, then government should not FIX the price either.
Fuel is one of the most taxed and "price-fixed" item in Pakistan. Government cannot loot people by establishing absolute monopolies. If you don't want to subsidize, fine. But don't charge an arm and a leg for an fing liter of fuel. Let the fuel price go up or down with the international markets.
Knowing that, Pakistan should half the price for every liter compared to the price few weeks ago. It is criminal to continue charging the same price as if the petroleum is still $150 a barrel.
