Re: Alice in Wonderland

Out today! :hula:

I don’t have tickets and at 17.59 I doubt i’m going to get any tonight :frowning:

Yeah its PG, doubt it will be scary…Helena Bonham Carter’s Red Queen is apparently more funny than scary.

Re: Alice in Wonderland

I seened it!!!!

AMAZING.

I didnt watch it in 3D though, 2D was fine as the screen it was showing on was less packed.

It wasnt actually scary at all (perhaps due to the 2Dness, I cant imagine what Cheshire's smile would look like in 3D eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek). The Red Queen was HILARIOUS! I found myself giggling away just looking at her!

I found Anne whatsherface The White Queen's character to be pretty annoying though.

I spent half of the movie trying to guess the voice over characters... I managed to get Alan Rickman as the caterpillar and Stephen Fry as the cat. But I had no idea it Peggy Mitchell aka Babs Windsor was the dormouse! Funnies.

Well worth a watch on the big screen (in 2D).

Re: Alice in Wonderland

Omg Milly I saw this movie in 3D yesterday and it was amazing! You should have seen it in 3D! The way the Cheshire cat floats around on the screen and when she drops down the hole etc. Loved it!

Everyone should go watch in 3D! Worth it!

My fav characters were Mad Hatter, Red Queen and Alice. Red Queen was too much lol. I loved and hated her big bulbous head at the same time  Kinda like the big bulbous head of the dude in my avatar :cb:

Re: Alice in Wonderland

omg seems like i have something good to watch on coming weekend :champ:

Re: Alice in Wonderland

FT make sure to watch it in 3D!

Re: Alice in Wonderland

I will… :k:

Re: Alice in Wonderland

Cool do let us know what you thought about the movie! :D

Re: Alice in Wonderland

I thought it was important to watch in 3D too, but its really not. You can still enjoy the movie as a movie which has been fantastically made through sheer creativity rather than extra ‘effects’.

I think Tim Burton’s movies don’t need extra ‘effects’. Although I suppose I only believe this as I didnt have the guts to watch it in 3D, I just dont like 3D. :snooty:

Re: Alice in Wonderland

Saw this today (in 3D). Was good. Johnny Depp wicked as usual. The futterwack dance was the best bit!

Re: Alice in Wonderland

chesshire smile was AMAZING in 3D .. .. .. though i found movie okay .. .. not exceptional

Re: Alice in Wonderland

Just seen the movie + really enjoyed it, the Futterwack dance being one of the highlights!!! I think watching the film in 3D just brings you closer to appreciating Burton's Wonderland/Underland...2D just doesn't do justice.
