Al-Jazeera airs new purported bin Laden tape

how come hskhan?? even if it's him, the tape calls on the Iraqi people to overthrow Saddam.. and calls Saddam an infidel.. so how is OBL linked to Saddam??

Also the website of British Al-Ansar news that produced that tape was registered two days before 9/11/01... hmmmmmm

It's absurd to think that the US is putting out these tapes.
If they were going to be making up propaganda, they would come up with something more incriminating than the crap Al-Jazeera is putting out.

Conspiracy theories dominate Arab and South Asian culture like nowhere else in the world.

I'm betting X-files would be popular there. It seems many believe anything to do with America is a conspiracy. A good study would be to see how education or lack of plays a role in this phenomenon.

utd, pardon my ignorance but the majority conspiracy theorists do not reside in the 'uneducated' parts of the world.. they are conscientious Americans who refuse to swallow media bovine excrement and challenge the information.

Is it a conspiracy theory or fact that the US has in the past forged evidence like this?

JFK and Elvis sightings aside, Arabs and South Asians rule in their conspiracy obsession. It's not the Americans that are questioning every tidbit coming from Al-Qaeda or the fact that they even exist or that they are responsible for terrorist attacks around the world.

Which is a good thing, but if your going to challenge something you should provide evidence that supports your challenge, hating America is not a reason to discredit anything that may back it's position.

Al-Jazeera believes this tape is real, are they now run by the U.S. government as well?

Forgive me again Seminole, but there is a world outside CNN.. look out for those small websites all over the internet that question the government's claims. They are certainly not out of the Arab/Asian world.. just yesterday one of them (yellowtimes.org) was 'censored'.

Witness the sudden accusation of "America hating". Anyone who challenges the administration's lies is an "America hater"?

Where do u want me to start with the deceptions? How about the declassified documents in 1994 which show memos from military advisors to Roosevelt on how to provoke Japan to attack. He followed every recommendation and Japan did attack.

Mentioning it at that time would have been 'anti-american' and anyone doubting the President or the goernments intentions would be an 'America hater'.. but today we know how America was deceived into a World War.

Or do you want me to tell you how a PR firm and mainstream media in cahoots tricked the representatives with the incubator story to allow an attack on Iraq to 'liberate' Kuwait? How about forged satellite photos that were used to convince the Saudis of an imminent Iraqi threat??

not sure about USPS, but UPS has recently upgraded service in Afghanistan/ Pakistan. On a more serious note, its not so hard to ship a tape.

The beauty is not in how Al-Jazeera received it.. it's how Powell knew about the contents and had a trasncript before Al-jazeera even had knowledge that such a tape existed.
