Your source is from...?

Re: Al Azhar scholar favours adult breastfeeding (and gets fired)

I don’t know how Sunni muslim can deny the following hadith from their sahih book. I agree with PCG, it should be discussed.

http://www.iiu.edu.my/deed/hadith/muslim/008_smt.html

Sahih Muslim Book 8, Number 3424:

' A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messengerof Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him.She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man?Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man 'Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn 'Umar (the words are): Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) laughed.

Re: Al Azhar scholar favours adult breastfeeding (and gets fired)

^ so where does it say in this hadith that that the woman fed a young man milk directly from her breasts????

and why did u just find one hadith on the subject and did not bother to study what muslim scholars have to say about it....

Re: Al Azhar scholar favours adult breastfeeding (and gets fired)

There is Sharia law among all schools of thought that relationship formed through breast feeding in islam can only establish during infancy, not any time later. So the fatwa is ridiculous and rightly condemned.

the above mentioned hadees (post 25) might also be the part of some lighter moment of prophet :saw: a smilar moment when one day when prophet was going for maghrib prayer and an old lady asked him to pray for he so she may enter heaven, the prophet told her that no old women will enter janat ..he went on for prayers

Upon his return he saw that same old lady sitting there and sobbing…He smiled and said ‘all men and women would become young before entering jannah’

So, the above mentioned hadees (post 25) may also be said lightly. and might be the rest of detail conversation would have explained it, which is unfortunately not available.

Similarly, if we read above mentioned hadees (in this post ) till the end of para where prophet told that no old lady will enter janah and skip the rest of incident and explaination as what he actually meant … then still it would be a hadees ( saying of prophet ) but incomplete and it would create huge confusion and choas.

There and numerious examples of such reports which are recorded incomplete and same reports are recorded complete somewhere else too.. It is possible as it is human efforts and there is possiblity of error, ommision

Since the case is closed, so is the thread.
Still If someone wants to discuss anything further regarding topic please pm me and i will consider it. if deemed appropriate might re-open this thread.
