Aitzaz is the biggest leader our country has produced after Qaid-e-azam
While I think Aitzaz is a very smart guy, who is very articulate, I wouldn't (yet) call him a great leader by any stretch. For a person to become a great leader, it is simply not enough to be a great orator or just be very smart (ZAB fits both these criteria), but he should be able to (1) demonstrate any ability to inspire people (2) show good judgement and most importantly (3) prove an ability to get diverse groups of people to agree on a common vision, build a team and get consensus.
Aitzaz is not liked even in his own party (probably because he is an over-achiever??), but most importantly because many times his ambitions over take that of his party. If you can't even get your own party to support you, then how do you expect a whole nation to rally behind you?

I think at this juncture Aitizaz Ahsan is the most favorite politician of Pakistan - very well rounded and liked only because his genuine and sincere stance. Overall he's balanced his affiliation with PPP and quest for independent judiciary very well. Not an easy task to accomplish by any means; given that PPP's position has been lukewarm until now on the CJ issue.

Considering Pakistan has just come out of a general election, to decide who is the "most favortie politician of Pakistan" is really easy, and should not be left to thinking. Election results show who the people really agree with. Unfortunately Aitzaz is not on that list.
Is he under house arrest or not? One day he is interviewing on television, next day the government reinforces his arrest. Then he is addressing a public rally. What kind of mickey mouse house arrest is that??
