Central model schools, - more than 130 years old. always come up in top ten positions for secondary results.
Acthison is rightly eton and Harrow of Pakistan.

hmm my brother was suppose to attend that school in Lahore. Aitchisonians, well definitely a great school, their kids always are toppers. I love the fact that they train you to become an all rounded student and include so many extra curriculars. There are many other good options as well, BeaconHouse, The City School, Froebels, PAF Academy... many more ...
Although most of the landlords and royalty do send their children out West to study abroad.. since they have that much money.. just my 2 cents :D

If Allah ever gives me a son, I would consider sending him to Aitchision. Private school in the UK is crazy expensive (20k a year total for a good one) and ACL is equal in academics and facilities to any of them, at a cost of about £5k per annum?

There are other schools in Pakistan also looking for UK trained teachers, I saw the advert in Times Educational supp. UK, thats how I came to know that Aitchison College looking for D. HT. If you get register on that website or you can get the paper copy every friday from the shops, in that way you would be able to find teaching jobs. I don't know your situation, to teach in UK schools, you need to get the teacher training.

IC, r u a UK trained teacher? I would need to observe the teaching and learning in school's in pakistan which follow the british curriculum...especially the interaction between british trained teachers and pakistani pupils.

Swiss, Italian, or German trained teachers are not directly qualified to teach in UK schools. So yes I'm UK trained. I never have been in such a Pakistani school, so it wouldn't be fair to comment on such interactions on the behalf of those teachers and students. I don't think, any observer could be welcomed at such an institution. Sorry can't help.

I talked about Aitchison n Crescent, and these are extremely remarkable institutions. There would be so many unique things related to them in Lahore.
I can't say about other schools.

Marvelous place.. great memories.. I studied there... with cost and facilities - no comparison in Pakistan... now trying to get my son enrolled there - but becoming extremely difficult to get in with such a high competition.. for last few years they have raised admission standard very high due to pressure...
