This giggling is a bit like the fake modesty displayed by women in Bollywood/Lollywood movies.
When she talks, she always comes across as measured and plays to the audience. It's as if she is manipulating the interviewer/audience into liking her

The reason Bollywood films have such universal appeal is because they’re squeaky-clean. There are no sex scenes, not even kissing. Every time you think someone’s going to do it, they’ll burst into song instead.

“I’d assume that’s really a reflection of our society,” Rai says, when asked to explain the films’ modesty. “Of course people kiss and of course people have a very healthy love life. This is the land of the Kama Sutra. But nevertheless, in our society you don’t really see people around the street corner kissing or being extremely, overtly, physically demonstrative publicly. They do it privately but not publicly.”

Dinn see the interview, no real issues with anythign else but the statements above are a bit much. Forget us puritan pakistanis (sarcasm intended) but my indian friends..hindu-muslim-sikh-isai have not been very comfortable with much of teh stuff churned out by bollywood these days.

In the words of Anand, an older Indian gentleman with kids in early teens, he does not watch Rrated movies with his kids, but knows that most G and pg-13 movies are okay, while indian movies have this covert secual stuff going on that not only is he not comfortable watching with his kids, but also with other relatives.

do they have a rating system for indian movies?

India does have a rating system. basically censor board gives two kinds of certificate to movies, Adult or A movies and non adult movies.
so adult is only for above 18, and everything else is all age movies.

Being on such a nice Pakistani BB with a admin/mod team ( ) working so hard to be unbiased and fair towards members of all origins, I think that’s special treatment enough. Pakistanis are treated so rudely across so many Indian BBs.

Anyway back to bibi Rai, didn’t see the interview, so can’t comment.

she does giggle a lot in her interviews, but I thought her comebacks were pretty spontaneous... esp. liked the "we don't have to make an appointment for dinner with our parents" and "how long have you been doing this".

I personally thought she was pretty subtle for someone who hasn't a clue to how big a name she is.

I'm not a big fan of Aish though.
