It was a protest against his movie “phantom” which was anti Pak movie. There were a few protesters and they had a right to protest, tit for tat after the way the Indians behave with our celebrities. Here at least the protesters had a genuine reason.

But i read somewhere he was the director of Bajrangi bhaijan which was more of a friendly movie?!
