Captain, Iran did not "blow out Pakistan's cover" for no reason. IAEA, under pressure from Chacha Sam, was meticulously looking at Iranian nuclear activities. In order to be transparent, Iran had given complete access to IAEA officials to all their nuclear sites. It was then that some of these officials come in touch with some nuclear equipment which was very similar to what Pakistan was using.
I remember several years back when Pakistan government took away the control of Kahota from Dr. Qadeer's hands, and given to Dr. Samar Mubarak Mand. I was so furious at that time. But later we saw why Dr. Qadeer was discharged from there. Pakistan government had found out that he was selling nuclear know-how to other countries. While theoretically, I find it ok for Pakistan to share its nuclear knowledge with other Islamic nations, but as of now, it would be extremely harmful for Pakistan, and so we should refrain from it. Otherwise, Chachi ji and Chacha-ji ke chamchay will harm our country.
As far as Pakistan's support to Iran is concerned then of course every Pakistan government would support peaceful and reasonable settlement of this issue, without neo-cons in US administration playing havoc in Middle East yet again.
Pakistan goverment seem to be making right decisions as of now. While Pakistan does endorse Iran's, and any other country's, right to develop nuclear technology for peaceful use, as outlined in NPT; yet Pakistan would be obliged to follow any Security Council resolution in case of sanctions. However, just like Russia and China, Pakistan would rather like to see this issue being pursued by IAEA (being a technical issue) rather than by Security Council (not being a political issue).
