Aga Khan introduces "Ali is truly Allah" as the Confession of Faith

Re: Aga Khan introduces "Ali is truly Allah" as the Confession of Faith

Nope, its not that Ali. I had agakhani friends in high school - they are all gung-ho about Hazrat Ali, and prize him as if he was a prophet. As far as this conspriacy theory is concerned, I see a lot of these theories about different groups in Pakistan.

I mean, maybe this is true, and this is what Prince Aga Khan is trying to do...

But honestly, I get the feeling that this may have been some original plan by original Aga Khan who founded the religion.

By now, agakhanis are so mainstream muslim Pakistani that you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Kinda like my generation ahmedis who have almost no clue what their religion is about - you see these guys practice Islam, and its a lot like what Sunnis do. They dont even realize their religion was founded on a political basis.

Call it ignorance or whatever on their part, but I dont think they have this set intention on taking over Pakistan.

In fact, instead of promoting such conspiracy theories, the better approach would be one that involves teaching the mass public of the differences in religious aspects of these religions so that each individual can make up their own mind. I can guarantee you you'd find loads of people leaving the ahmedi and agakhani religions if they saw that they fundamentally differ from Islam. If not, then fine, let them believe what they want to believe.

After all, pagans like Hindus, and non-monotheistic religions like Christianity (that's right - non monotheistic - not me, that's how its not officially classifed as by religious scholars) are tolerated in Pakistan. And these religions dont pay homage to the Rasul. In fact, Hindus don't pay homage to Allah. Are you going to kick them out too? Or keep to the tolerance principle that Jinnah promoted?

Remember, if we dont respect the choices of our own citizens, then outsiders wont respect us either.

Furthermore, if this group is doing so much charity work, etc for the muslim community, we should work hand in hand with them to promote better livnig for the poor. So they gather privately and chant about their Imam or whatever. Who cares? Let them. At least the poor people in Karachi are getting some food and medical help because of them.

If anything, we should emulate them IN THAT RESPECT.
