After Bobby Jindal it is Niki Haley

Re: After Bobby Jindal it is Niki Haley

^^ Brother there is a Thread waiting for you to comment in PA. Let me help you to get there!

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/pakistan-affairs/327371-pakistani-flag-hoisted-assam-india.html

P.S Mods my sincere apologies, but i couldn’t get hold of aam bandha, Punjabee in usa & aliterre to comment on such an important thread.

Arrogant much?
Try to follow something other then a bollywood script for once.

Do you even know what this discussion is about?

The discussion was over whether someone should accept prejudice. Some of the Indians on this forum implied that they would accept such prejudices, in exchange for some form of gain.
The point was that people should not accept prejudice for whatever reason…

Simple point which you in your self righteous arrogance failed to pick up on..

Honestly, get your head out of your rear…

As for Saund, maybe you should preach about him to your fellow Indians. I think Saund would have also called such behavior cowardice…

Save your history lessons for someone who actually respects you… I have seen your ignorance first hand..

Again, you missed the point. Are all Indians this daft?

This about converting to suite the prejudices of your constituency... They were elected as Muslims... The discussion was; If Jindal conveted so as to further his own political career, was it right for him to do so. Certain Indian members said that was perfectly fine... My point is it wasnt.

Americans are full of surprises... Who thought they would elect a black man.

I never said he converted because he knew he was going to be governor.
I said he may have converted to fit in with a society that was overwhelmingly Chrisitian. I still dont agree with such a choice, as its not a personal choice, but simply whats expedient. You convert to fit in.

And no, thats not quite how ALL conversion works. When you live in society that is overwhelmingly Christian, you may convert not because you believe in the faith, but because you want to fit in. Thats doing whats socially expedient.
Thats what im wondering aout in the case of Jindal.

The difference between this and people who were invited to mosque or a bible reading, is that often, the person who is converting lives in an environment that isnt strongly influenced by the religion they are potentially converting to, yet they still convert.
So the Christian converting to Islam will be in an area that is overwhelmingly Christian or vice versa. Such a conversion seems more genuine...
In Jindals case, he lived in an environment that was ovewhelmingly Christian. So my question is, did he convert because he believed in Christianity or because everyone around him did?!?!

Stupid logic as ususal !! This lady can run as whoever/whatever she wants. Its not my/our problem. Why is your behind on fire ??

Barack Obama also did not run as a Muslim, even though he was born to a Muslim father. I wonder why ? Did he think he would not get elected if he ran as a Muslim ??

Are you slow in thinking?!?!?! Im shocked by you inability to actually think and reason. Its a very simple point...

YES, she can run as anything she wants... She can run in an ape suite if she wanted. There is no legal hurdle there...

The point was, can she run and WIN, as a Hindu in a strongly Christian state. And whether it would be right for her to convert to appease the prejudice electorate.

Your obviously not intelligent enough to figure out the point, so dont bother trying. Your completely inadequate.

And were you even following the Obama election?!?! What rock were you under!
Barak Obama was not raised as a Muslim. He was raised a CHRISTIAN. I dont think he ever even met his father.
And for your information, the Obama campaign went to great lengths to prove he wasn't a Muslim. In fact they wouldn't even allow Hijab wearing women to pose behind him in a photo op. So to answer your question, no I don't think a Muslim could win the presidency in the US. The Obama campaign also seemed to believe that, so why dont you go debate them!

Indians due to their affluence and other factors are indifferent to traditional immigrant and minority issues and that's why they are palpbable to republican party base and acceptable to it's leadership. Republicans are not interested in pandering to blacks and latino otherwise they'd cease to be a post 60s republican party, dominated by dixiecrate racists, bible thumpers and neocons.

In order for token removal of the stigma of a predominately white party with apathetic, in some case antipathic stance on minority issues, republicans are not looking to draft large numbers of latinos and blacks to dilute the agendas of whackos such as Limbaugh and his ilk in the party. And this where the Indians fit in, after gaining affluence they want total assimilation, a proverbial seat at the table with the big boys and they are willing to ditch other minorities and their interests as well as the democratic party, where ironically they'd find themselves more at home, then amongst the hee-hawing, anti-intellectual and mostly southerners of the republican party. It truly is a marriage of convenience with the biggest gainers being white republicans and the Indian, true to their psyche are ever ready to play the compliant party with profound comlexes to overcome.

Look for more intrinsicly liberal indians to jump onto the republican band wagon and cheer on while the rabid bigot leader of republicans Limbaugh spews his filth...

There you go again !! Do you not comprehend English ? She does not need to run as a Hindu - she is a Sikh !! As far as I know, she has not converted. Her husband & children are Christians.

Whether it is right for her to convert or not is not for you & me to decide. Its her personal choice, and none of my (and your) business :hoonh:

Thanks for comprehending and answering my question  This is the exact answer I was looking for

lol.. I dont even think you know what this debate is about, or even what your point was…
I wil indulge you though.

Her religion is not relevant here.

FYI. As minorities in America, her decision to not stand up to prejudice does affect us. If the founders of civil liberties in America choose to stay silent, nothing would have changed for them either.

Your point that a minority couldnt win I figured out. That wasnt a point that was worth making because I already knew that. The question was whether someone should convert in the face of prejudice. I thnk thats cowardice, and its an insult to self resecting people evey where.
You dont seem to have much self respect so I think the pint is lost on you:)

If she runs for the governor and wins, she will win as a minority because she has not converted yet :)

Perhaps...
Finally after beating it over your head, you are starting to figure it out.. Perhaps your not COMPLETELY dense!

:omg: You are quite a character…

Go back and read all your posts from the beginning of this thread where you have been beating to death the point about Nikki Haley converting from Hinduism to Christianity and running for Governor.

Next time read up about whats being discussed before you post.

And your quite the bufoon..

Go back to school and learn to read.. This time I suggest you not go to an Indian school as your English comprehension appalling.

Do you have any data to back that up, that she has not converted? In Wikipedia, it says the family is Christian, which I would assume includes her.

In Wikipedia it also says that her religion is Sikh :) Thats not to say that I would buy everything thats posted on Wikipedia ;)

Re: After Bobby Jindal it is Niki Haley

haha, so in a few decades, Jai Hind is going to be Jai Jesus!

It looks like she has:

She’s on her local church board. She believes in Jesus. It’s pretty safe to say she’s Christian.

Nikki and her husband Michael, a full time federal technician with the South Carolina National Guard and an officer in the Army National Guard in Darlington, South Carolina, attend Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington. She was previously a board member of both the Orangeburg and Lexington County Chambers of Commerce and a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Currently, Nikki sits on the board for Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, Medmission, and is a proud member of the West Metro Republican Women, Lexington County Republican Party and the NRA.

I believe in Jesus too, but I am not Christian ;)
