ISAF is not in charge. But they have a huge degree of influence. This matter could have easily been solved by a US Dept Official telling the Minister of Justice if she goes to jail, your money dries up. I have seen that happen in real life many times. The fact is that she should never have been in jail. The US or different NATO components could have solved this issue without any harm to the woman. They do this regarding everything, from logistics to high level visits. Hell I have seen the weirdest stuff here.
But if they wanted to help the Woman this would have been solved in 2 minutes. They didn't bother too. The poem regarding silence in Nazi Germany is rather apt.
And just because it happens does not make it acceptable. The government should do more to protect women more. And establish better rules and enforce them.
so you think any foriegn govt can interfere with laws related with islamic justice in the land of afghans where women are raped just to avenge the rape , khoon ka badla khoon , eye for an eye , . americans can never dream of staying in afghanistan if they tried to reformpathetic idiotic afghan judicial system. can you think of any foreign interference will have any effect on "tauheen a risalat" case of the poor low caste woman in pakistan .

Interfere? They go around killing people in night raids. Demand that rigged elections be redone. Demand corrupt officials be removed and saving an innocent lady is now called interference? Wow.
