Adopting a Child in Islam

This is so disheartening. No joke, JUST YESTERDAY, at jumma we talked about adoption and the importance the Quran places on charity and taking care of the orphans. For months we’ve been considering adopting for our second child, we don’t want to roll the dice again for a biological kid and feel very strongly that there are so many beautiful children out there who need parents. Begum REALLY wants to adopt from Pakistan but it sounds like it’s a logistical nightmare. X2, one of these days begum and I are going to show up in Chicago to learn from your experiences, we will also expect biryani.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. We too would seriously consider adoption from Pakistan. Yes it would be easier to adopt a child in Europe but we would love to give a child from Pakistan a brighter future.
