acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

Re: acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

thanks for your reply stoppit!! can u rec a foundation that u feel is good for my situation? also, what type of toner do u use...and do u just store it in the fridge or something?

I use tea tree toner (from Lush) or rose water. I'm in the UK and it's mostly freezing so they are always cold just on my dresser but yes, fridge otherwise! I spritz my face well, about 10mins before moisturising.

Well.. I can only recommend the foundation that I'm using but most people will groan at its mention. Bear in mind I have tried foundation from all the major brands; Chanel, EL, Laura Mercier, Clinique blah blah blah and this is my HG.

It's the only MAC one I like and it's a Pro Product (so most people have never heard of it or used it). It's called Full Coverage and the first time a MUA recommend it to me I was like "yea right" but a few months later after trying many different brands I gave it a go. Unlike the other MAC foundations it doesn't have a strong yellow colour in the NC shades. I lightly press a flat synthetic foundation brush into the compact and then lightly brush this on my cheeks (it warms with contact and easily goes on) for the finest veil of coverage. I then finish off with power all over my face. It makes my cheeks look so even and yet no one thinks I'm wearing any makeup. Some days I even double take later in the day at how smooth they look (knowing how they look without anything, lol).

The brush I use is by Japonesque and is the best synthetic brush I have found for solid cream type products (including concealer).

If you can get to a pro store, they are quite happy to give you a sample in a jar.

Re: acne indents/deep ‘holes’/ scarring

thanks so much for the details stoppit (once again!)

is this M·A·C Cosmetics | Studio Tech close to the full coverage u are talking about? i dont think i have a pro store anywhere near me…can i order the Full coverage online somehow?

Re: acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

Studio Tech is horrible imo!

You would need to have your shade matched in store.

I NC30 throughout the range so I'm guess they are fairly consistent. If you can find our your shade in some of the other foundations (don't let the mua's match you, they always choose too dark!) I could try and get you a sample and send it to you.

Re: acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

that would be so sweet of you stoppit! i would love if u cud send me a sample! wud u send the full coverge or studio tech sample??

i know im a NC37/NC40 in studio fix fluid, the 37 is a lil too light and the 40 is almost perfect! does this help or do u think i should go and get matched (myself) for the studio tech as well?

again, much thx!

Re: acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

I'm not far from a Pro Store so next time I'm out shopping I'll try to convince them to give me Full Coverage samples in NC35 and NC45 (they don't do 37 and 40 but you can mix 35 and 45) or whatever they think will match with SFF NC37/40. It's okay to go a bit lighter as you will be applying it very lightly, as long as it doesn't look grey or ashen.

Re: acne indents/deep 'holes'/ scarring

i dunno if i'm judging too soon but i hav recently started using silicone based gel
it's not too long may b 2 weeks or so but i'm feeling improvement in my only scar. it is an indented scar, now i feel it is getting harder to notice. i'll keep using this thing. i'm feeling excited now.may be anjana u should try one.

Try blending both at the back of your hand and then using it. What type of undertones do you have? NC is usually for yellow-undertones.

sounds great! keep me posted on the progress plz and then maybe i'll try it out!

Yup, im NC, yellow undertones
