Man you guys need to grow up. Pakistan loses and blame the captain. The team team selection is not just up to the captain, but to the coach also. In the first game Afridi performed well with the bowl and bat. What did our so called specialist bowlers do? Couldn't even defend a score of 300.
And now when Afridi fails with the bat, everyone jumps on him. "oh he made only 9 runs!" Look at the others. What did the other specialist batsmen do? Forget the batsmen, what did our bowlers do? gave up 329 runs. Afridi being a part time bowler, bowled much better than Rauf or Zia. Wasn't Rauf supposed to be the next best thing after Shoaib Akhtar? When our bowlers bowled so horribly, forget winning. Isn't bowling suposed to be Pakistan's strength. Even if Saeed Bin Nasir was playing, Pakistan still couldn't have reached 330. In both the games, the bowling, mainly Rauf and Mansoor Amjed, and in the second game, Zia have let the team down majorly.
Cricket is a team game, a captain can't win the game by himself. Afridi is human, heck, not even a speiclist bastmen, but an all rounder. So give the blame where it goes, instead of making Afridi the scapegoat.
Damn! I can't see any of these matches and I pretty much don't care what is happening out there, but I know the people will feel cheated if it's not an Ind0/Pak finale.
Yassir, I agree with you. Blaming the captain is mean. Besides I like Afridi and I hope we get to see him in March when India visits. He's the Pakistani Shewag.
