I’d like to think that the range varies from shiite scholars (say about 1400 years) to scholars of some Davat-ul-Momineen (1990’s).
Not defending the article but the point you raise is confusing me. Has teh religion been free of misconceptions and disagreements since almost the beginning? Do we classify all the previous scholars in the same category of knowledge about teh book?
I dont think its about ultra modernism or newbies trying to out do the goldies. It’s rather about whether you, yourself are satisfied with the point an author is trying to make.
My knowledge of abortion in relation to Islam is poor. I’ve read about 40 days and 3 months and now this article mentions 6 days. If you have some info, please do post it-- I’d really like to clear up my misconceptions about this topic. Thanks.
