Khuda ka khauf karo logo. You guys are brutal. I don't care how phony he may seem, how fruity he dresses, or how he looks. He does RELIGIOUS programs, talking about the Nabi and Allah Subhana Ta'ala, for God's sake have some mercy on him. Here we have a person trying to present balanced view on issues, and people are going off judging how much of a "fag" he is, how he doesn't deserve his wife etc. Get a grip, he's happily married. Stop lusting after a married woman. It's the month of RAMZAAN, at least respect that and don't talk ill of someone.
It's sad that in all of my four years of moderating Shor Sharaba, I don't think there's ever been a thread full of so much dislike/hatred towards a particular celebrity in any entertainment industry - and we can argue how halal entertainment is till the cows come home. But we have a guy, however he may appear to be, who does religious programs trying to enlighten people - there's a 4 page thread on him with people badmouthing him left right and center. Please save yourself at least this one gunah in Ramzaan.

That’s the whole reason I don’t want him to be hosting a religious program and turning it into a circus. A clean shaven guy wearing silky colorful clothes and all that makeup that will put Cher to shame should not be hosting a religious program. I didn’t have issues with him if he was hosting Gae gi duniya geet mere. That guy is a phony from top to bottom. His personality is phony (if not gay) and his degree is phony. Still he has the audacity to call him self doctor even after the whole country knows by now that his degrees were fake.
His program Alim online is nothing but a joke. Just because people are “bored” of watching normal religious program with some real scholar as a host that doesn’t mean that you suger coat Islam try to present a modern Islamic program with Music title and some Shia sunni Alim who never disagree with each other ever. I bet you if you put 2 real Shia sunni Alim they will hardly agree on any thing. So what kind of Islam he is trying to teach us by such programs. They are trying to modernize everything in Pakistani media but please for God sake leave religious programs away from this MQM thug and other modern degenerates. .

Well your first para comprises of your views about a celebrity … hes a celeb, so love him or hate him it entirely upto fans. But I mostly agree with you in 1st paragraph.
Btw, his Phd is fake, apart from that he claims he is MD too

In second para i do not agree with you
Despite all the fakeness of the guy, the program is good quality religious program, I would say the best in comparison to other channels. The other program in which he gives lecture to girls and boys is also a very good quality show. Now that quality is according to my standard, you may disagree.
secondly, Sunni and shia Scholars do ‘disagree’ on a number of issues in that program. But the real reason for agreement on most issues is that in reality there are less disagreement then what is projected by ignorant and hypocrite molvis of shia and sunni masjids. Who cultivate hatred for their own nafarious designs.
Thirdly, the kind of Islam they are preaching is the need of the hour to disolve the misunderstanding, misgiving and and consturct trust and understandning between muslims.
I dont know the guy personally, so cant say anything about him in this regard.

I was talking to my friend about this phony Amir Liaqat and he has a suggestion and request for all of you.
“I urge all those who are appalled by his antics to bombard geo with emails and phones to take this phony off the air. I have done it a few times myself. It could work, even though the whole channel is a mouth piece of MQM, but if enough of us complain and threaten to cancel our subscription, I am sure they will listen.”

I was also going to mention Liaqat bhai’s outfit. I was at a neighbours for iftaari, but sis and I couldn’t help laughing out loud after looking at his outfit.
The neighbours must’ve thought something’s wrong with us.
