BL: please, first understand my questioning is to get the truth... I am not trying to pick on anyone... I am trying to find out myself because what I know is different than what you are saying and I too have similar proofs that you are using to prove it otherwise... it is imperative to give credit to where it is due.. if it's by daagh, I am looking for a proper reference like BOOK name (deewaan) and the link to it if available online (the book that is) and if it is by Ghalib, I would need the same... not finding in Ghalib's deewan which are available ONLINE proves zilch in such matters... really :)
1- The reasoning provided that the poem is shared as being penned down by Daagh on this very forum is quite circular in its nature... what is the guarantee that all those times, some one was not getting the same wrong information available on net (assuming it is wrong, if it is by Ghalib)
2- I provided you an authentic website link as well where the maqta is attributed to Ghalib.... so did I prove that it is by Ghalib?:)
that's exactly I am looking for... I am not even claiming that it is by Ghalib... I am just showing my confusion that I always learnt that it is by Ghalib... however, if you see the whole thread, the attempts are there to prove that it is by Daagh...
my point is that if it is by Daagh, then prove it beyond the reasonable doubt ... or if it is not then, do the same otherwise... :)
