Quite possible more might die. The IDF has flaws but it does not carpet bomb areas, it tries to pin point its assassinations, it does not use chemical weapons as Iraq did on Iran.

What's the point of having the Tsunami info if you don't know how to send it! With a modern communications system, why did the information not get out? By email, telephone, fax or satellite TV.

I would consider the rape of Kuwait to be about the worst decimation of a country in the Middle East. The war of the cities, with Iran and Iraq trading random Scuds was not a lot of fun either. Scuds have absolutely no accuracy, all they can do is terrorize a population.
