I don't think anything was wrong with the orignal post. It is a fact that bad photographers can ruin the pictures of a beautiful bride and a good photographer can make a simple bride/affair look all extraordinary... Same goes with the make up artist.
And i think it is not all about cheapness, sometimes you'd have a person that would charge you according the rates in market but would do kind of an awful job. So make sure you don't blindly believe on what the person is telling you but check out the samples, etc. We learned it the hard way... We really don't have any proper picture of my sister's wedding to frame because the photographer didn't take any proper pictures of her but the valima photographer did an awesome job.
