*“It is a very sad news. I am really upset ever since I heard this news. Not only me, the entire world loved his songs. There is no doubt about it that he was an outstanding singer,” Mangeshkar told IANS.

In 2010, Tera Milana, a duet by the two legends was launched as part of an album named Sarhadein. While Hassan recorded it in Pakistan in 2009, Mangeshkar later heard the track and recorded her part in India in 2010. It was later mixed together for a duet.

I wish this was done when their voices were younger and more vigorous.

Baant Raha tha Jab Khuda from movie Nazrana

The song was later copied in Indian movie ‘Bade Dil wala’ proving he was popular across the border.

Popular among the industry-walas. General public in India was completely insulated from the films and film music of Pakistan when it used to be good. Unfortunately, to their loss.

Besides this is just the same shayari, tune is different.
There are other songs that are complete copies including music.

Qateel Shifaai’s kalaam was used in many Indian songs. He worte a lot of songs exclusively for Indian movies.
