Those are wet patches and ditches on the surface of moon, and that gave first idea for sending human on moon, cuz those patches showed scientist some life on it.
Since moon is closest to the earth sphere, that’s why we can see them with naked eye, else we need Hubble to watch them closely, almost all stars and planets have similar physical shapes except some has different outer shells like Mars has some GAS circles around it.
What Pg, said is The Truth, and that was confirmed when human first visited the moon, and they believed the Moon was split into two halves, and we know what that is :-)
