Re: A small History quiz - Part 2
:@: are you history student? I wont tell yet how many you got wrong ;)
Re: A small History quiz - Part 2
^ I am not a history student, but am a trivia buff :) Some of these are educated guesses.
Q1 - Alexander the Great came from which modern day country?
Greece
Actually its Macedonia, & Macedonians dispute the Greeks using the name. So not a politically correct question without Macedonia in the set of answers.
Q2 - Hannibal was famous Carthaginian (North Africa) general who attacked a great empire with a large army which included elephants. Which empire did he attack?
Roman Empire
Q3 - Who is the first European credited with discovering New Zealand?
Abel Tasman
Q4 - Which city was founded by Alexander the Great in Egypt?
Alexandria
Q5 - Which American President said : " It's best not to swap horses while crossing the river"?
Lincoln used it but its an older proverb.
Better than the first quiz FairyTale, but still too easy, make it harder :)

Re: A small History quiz - Part 2
Ive been informed that the french revolution is a period, not an event. I was thinking 1789, but some people use the 1789-1799 dates in which case it would put Ghalibs birthdate in the middle of the period, so I guess my question was incorrect :( means everyone is pass :)
400BC Peloponnese wars.
50BC Roman invasion of Britian.
1789-1799 French Revolution.
1797 Birth of Mirza Ghalib.
1821 Napoleon dies on an island in the south Atlantic.
1848 The publication of the communist manifesto.
1857 First war of independence 1857.
1865 End of the American Civil war.
