See I personally think this is good. Gilani for all his faults is a better leader in my eyes. It maybe my bias towards having a crook as a our President, but Gilani always seemed more respectable. He also has distanced himself away from Zardari.
I just hope this President completes his term as does the Parliament. Its nearly 2 years. Lets go through another 3 without any bloody hiccups to show stability and promise for the next elections.
I totally agree with you, but some how I have the feeling that unless Zardari who has been forced to swallow humble pie many times this year is completely defanged by undoing the17 Amendment he would still have some relevance in governance, and that to many in Pakistan is not acceptable, including the army. If Zardari becomes rubber stamp, as he should be, I think Gilani can govern the country much better because he is more pragmatic leader compare to Zardari and understand how the systems should works.
