A new race in making

Re: A new race in making

The average height of a Pakistani male today is 5'7". So they must have been about 5'11" back in the 1960s? LOL I call BS on that.

The average German male today is not even that tall. LOL

Re: A new race in making

:)

Re: A new race in making

I personally think that the height is increasing now, as the newer generation seems to be a bit taller than the older one and I believe that has mostly to do with protein intake.

Re: A new race in making

I also don't like cousin marriages. But to put every blame on cousin marriages is ridiculous.
Where is the research suggesting it?

Re: A new race in making

Maybe the same genes all over again :hmmm:

Re: A new race in making

Maybe try hanging upside down on bars, no?

Re: A new race in making

Monkeys aren’t tall & all they do is hanging upside down:vivo:

Re: A new race in making

hahaha LP has a point! :)

Re: A new race in making

If the genes are same from a tall family then the family should stay tall. No reason for them to go short. Isn’t it?

Re: A new race in making

:smack: This wan’t even funny, forget serious.

Re: A new race in making

On the other hand, the kids in some Western countries are growing abnormally large
because of cancer-causing growth hormones in the meat and milk supply.
And girls are maturing much quicker.

Re: A new race in making

Why not some eggs from Denmark?

Re: A new race in making

its so true. my Dadi, Dada and Nani were very tall. and all the brothers of my nana were very tall too.
when compared to my mum/dads generation, only 2 brothers were tall and from my mother side, every one is 5'1-5'7- no one really tall.

in my village, older generation (my grandfather's generation) is taller than last (parents generation) or even this generation.

my dada jee even so ill in his last days, still used to drink sweet lassi, kadu ka halwa with ghee, and ghee wali roti with big bowl of desi ghee and suger. yet his heart, cholesterol, and suger level were perfect.

Re: A new race in making

I think you are nearly there - your head is growing out of your hair :D

Re: A new race in making

Such sad news :(

Re: A new race in making

so if malnutrition is responsible for short people, what about Africa?

Re: A new race in making

Urm....ahem...yeah. No answer to that bc like i said before. It's all BS. The current generation in Pakistan is atleast 1 inch taller than the previous one, if not even more. Cousin marriages have been around for quite a while, if people would get shorter because of this, a large number of pakistanis would be no taller than 4 feet.

Re: A new race in making

acha

whatever floats the boat

you have no idea …

Re: A new race in making

Malnutrition is not directly proportional to economic success of the country. A "poor" African tribe from our standards may be getting a good nutritional meal in their area.

Re: A new race in making

errrr :konfused: We are talking about malnutrition vs height here, how did economy jump in? Are you serious about poor African tribe getting ‘good’ nutritional meal in their area? check height/weight ratios etc.
