A Million Dollars

We live off such feed almost everyday.
Consider the slave labor that is used globally.....

In any event if I could save a few by giving my own I would do it in a heartbeat.

Re: A Million Dollars

:hmmm: 1 million dollar you said eh …and how many times am I allowed to press that button?

Your two statements are oceans apart, existence of slave labor should not encourage us to start another cruel, immoral, unethical or professional malpractice.

Saving others with an intention of saving them is noble and has nothing in common with the first statement.

Re: A Million Dollars

Money isn't all it's cut out to be, so I wouldn't. Now, if they let me PICK the person that died, I'd do it at least a dozen times.

Re: A Million Dollars

Interesting..!
I would be tempted to push it if I knew who will die...but I don't think I will be able to actually do it...

I havent seen thus movie but I saw a mystry series on TV long back in which one of the episode was exactly same as explained in the thread... a couple was given a box with button and were told that someone in the world whom you dont know would die if u press the button and u will get a large sum (dont remember amount)... they are in delimma and after a long night of thought press the button. the person appears and say u have that amount in ur bank account and takes the box away.. couple asks where r u taking the box and he replies .. to some one u dont know.. and the episode ends..

As humans we do take risks about things that dont affect us directly..

Re: A Million Dollars

I would push that button if the money goes to Pakistan and make Pakistan a Safer and a better place.

For My self NO!!!!

Re: A Million Dollars

Maybe if i get to pick the person who dies..maybe!

Re: A Million Dollars

What if they let you see who will die if you push the button!

You cannot choose but can see and shuffle as many times as you want. When will someone push the button?

Sorry muiya! Just add a twist.

It may be too easy for some people but I still may not push the button.

Re: A Million Dollars

if u can't pick the person who dies, then there can be no justification whatsoever for pushing the button and killing someone...regardless of the payout being $1 million or $100 billion...

however, if u can choose who dies, then definitly! enuf killers in the world who get away everyday cuz of whatever reason...some who get away with a simple murder, while others are guilty of genocide...push the button, kill them, take the $$ and use it for the needy...enuf needy folks in the world too...repeat as many times as u need to to make the world a better place by getting rid of the scum and making the lives of the poorest ones more bearable financially...

Life is far more important than 10 million dollars so I won't do it. And I have a fear killing someone for a money what ALLAH will do to me on doomsday jahaanum scary end Never in my life.

Even if its people like Salman Rushdi I won;t do it for money

I "WILL" press the button.

Reason:

OK, so i press the button. I get the million dollars and (under the worst case sscenario) a person very close to me dies.

Now, so many people die everyday (bombs, accidents, medical diseases etc.) What is the proof that my loved one died because of my pressing the button. He/She could have died due to any of the natural causes. And the person who died because of me was someone else i did not know about.

Look, countless people are going to die everyday whether you press the button ot not.

But, you dont get a million dollars everyday this easily. Hence, i will press.
