Re: A lesson for Pakistani Muslims
He didn't allow idol worshipers nor people who bowed down to a book. Sikhs let Muslims pray in their gurdwara, up to those Muslims who prayed to decide what was the right choice. But to expect Muslims to have idol worshiping in the house of Allah, shame on you.
I recall you don't care about your carbon footprint also in the All Views thread. Not dissimilar to right leaning folks the world over -! Who deny global warming while clinging to a narrrow interpretation of religion. (IMHO)
Re: A lesson for Pakistani Muslims
What do you mean ''lesson''?
Vast majority of Pakistanis get on ok with others. Remember a few incidents among 180 million population are not indicative of a pattern.
There is a lesson in it for all of us. Credit where credit is due. Inspiring stuff.
Re: A lesson for Pakistani Muslims
I Ask again ..... did he invite them for a prayer in the mosque yes or no ????
And if u don't get it by now ..... here a few other examples from the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW
The Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW asking about the well being of a old Women who used to throw litter on him (meaning harm to him) when one day she didn't
At the point of Victory of Makkah he forgave even those who, tortured his companion, tried to kill him and killed his relatives
Do u refute this ????
If not then ..... i ask again ..... what does these incidents tell about him and his teaching of Islam .....
**If u still don't get it i'll try it im simple words ..... he was tolerant in a way no one can reach those heights ..... he was forgiving in a way no one can reach those heights ..... he lived the life as Allah SWT taught in Quran in a way no one can reach those heights
So if anyone is uncertain/confused about teaching in Quran then have a look what the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW did and try to follow**
BTW i was born in Rabwah (now called Chenab Nagar) ..... never been to Qadian .... so if at all call me a Rabwah'ani or to be politically correct "Chenab Nagri"
So Please Keep ur lesson to urself ..... what i'am and what i believe in is between me and creator ..... the very essence of what the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW
Your right, nobody can reach those heights. So stop comparing our intellect with the Prophet's. We're nowhere near it. He broke the idols and your inviting them to the house of Allah. Shame on you. And YOU should try to follow Islam and accept Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasallam as the last messenger. That should be your priority number one.
And to the moderator who modified my post. Why? Why the need to censor the truth? Next time just delete my entire post if you wish to edit some parts to your liking. Poor moderating. Are there no filters when promoting someone to moderating position?

If my respect to my religion is a narrow interpretation to you then I feel sorry for you. Only you would compare my "All views" reply to such an important topic. You can invite your idol worshiping people to your house, but remember there will be millions of my kind ready to kick them out from the masjid, respectfully.

^ It is our responsibility to ensure discussions in a free and fair manner between all participants. Why do you need to bring the faith of some one, you can discuss the observations made even without doing that.

Thank you kindly for your sympathy. Global warming is an important and real topic. Maybe a little bit of reading would help one gain some knowledge.
You sir are indeed a role model for religious people - using millions and kick and masjid in the same sentence.
Note to Shak - still feel no lesson to be learnt here?

[mod]Guys keep on the discussion without bringing in the faith of other posters. Consider this as a warning, now I'll start giving infractions.[/mod]

Janjua39,
Thank you for your honest and unambiguous response. Others either haven't read the first Kalma or are too polite to express their opinion in a public forum.
Re: A lesson for Pakistani Muslims
Why do you think Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) broke all the idols himself in Khana-e-Kaba then?
According to my understanding he didn't worship idols nor did his companion
BUT whil we are at it ....
Did he put up any Cross while inviting the christians ???
The christians were not his companions but PPL who visited him

Well i see it's a futile exercise to trying explain to u what the Holy Prophet Mohammad SAW was for mankind
For me he was "rehmat-u-lill Alameen" and sent to earth by the only and one creator called Allah SWT who is "ghafoor-u-raheem"
U btw can keep up ur rant about kicking PPL out of Mosque and what not etc. etc.
Good luck
peace
Re: A lesson for Pakistani Muslims
We Muslims shoulbe be thankful to Sikh Brother for their act of kindness. If anyone would like to pin point than it should be done on Muslims. Approx 800 odd Muslims and none of them were able to build a hall.
[quote]
Dehradun, Aug 22: The Sikhs of Joshimath, a small town in the state of Uttarakhand, have set an example by allowing the Muslim community to offer namaaz at their gurdwara on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Every year, Muslims congregate at the Gandhi Maidan in the town but this time it was raining heavily and the ground was consequently slushy. Hence, Sardar Buta Singh who is the gurdwara's prabandhak informed that its main hall can be used by the Muslims to offer prayers.
Accepting the large-hearted invitation, many of the town's Muslim residents entered the gurdwara at 9.30 a.m and participated in the Eid namaaz. Subsequently the Sikhs and the Muslims embraced each other. Some Hindus too joined in the Eid celebrations there.
Afterwards, Sardar Buta Singh said that he had invited the Muslims to the gurdwara since they were not able to offer worship in the open due to the downpour.
Hailing the gurdwara committee's exemplary humanity, Maulvi Asif thanked it for the solving the problem which the Muslims had been facing. He added that the committee had shown everyone how to respect all religions.
