Well a little story goes that Jesus’ missing years were actually spent in India, where he learned the virtues of enlightenment and went on to keep an apprentice whose descendents worked with Guru Nanak. (paraphrased from Lamb, Christopher Moore)
Sadzz, doesn’t it feel good, when we all sing and dance with the kurians and the mundays. :bhangra:
PD, yeah it was real nice.. well actually it was the aunties and uncles who were doing more of the singing and dancing.. lekin it was nice to see that they could all get along so well. There was a bit of division at first, but i think once u eat and the music comes on... nothing matters.. It was nice :)
Danday, how can a Sikh tell someone's religion/race if that person is in Hijab? I don't know if the question came out right, but you can help with there with the answer. Thank you.
Madhanee, I called your ass four times this weekend. What's up the lady on your voicemail? Can't she recognize it's me again again and bit more polite? And more welcoming? No, I didn't have your home number at that time.
I'd a rather windy and tiring Sunday. Danday, shame on you. How were the sikhnis? All of them.
it certainly feels very good when when there is no distinction b/w races and we love each other as human beings and not judge anyone on wheteher he/she is a muslim, hindu sikh, christian…
Why is it such a big deal for cultures to intermingle. I still remember the parties at my dad's Sikh friend's house Uncle Kirpal...they always ended in bhangra! However, I see my parents tending more towards their Pakistani compatriots as they age.
