Some thoughts.

• Always make sure you include a tailored cover letter. This is a must.
• Look for keywords given in the job description and make your CV reflect those keywords. Hell, use them! Especially in online applications.
• Never bluff, a bit of padding fair enough but never bluff. Karma will catch up with you.
• Never send cliche’d applications. No one loves that. Not even Jesus.
• Add a big of insight to your qualifications rather than just a blind listing.
• Use skill words that will help you stand out. Like specific qualifications and licences or something along those lines.
• Never use stupid fun fonts. Make the size reasonable and make it aesthetically pleasing and simple.
• Make sure you end your previous job experiences with Achievements. Solid things you accomplished, not the usual BS about Responsibilities.
• Make sure there is a balance of Teamwork and Individual work in your CV. Employers want a flexible candidate.
• Include any volunteer work and extra curricular activities within the real of the position you’re applying for. They don’t care if you can do an Ollie on your skateboard.

so we CAN include volunteering and extra curriculars. ok and thanks for the advice..
