FREE Trip alright but being arrested at the airport is NOT fun…she was taken into custody briefly for violating visa conditions upon her return to Lahore! ise kahte haiN:

Once my aunt landed in another city I think 20 years ago, she was coming back from pak with her 2 small kids at the time, during transit she took the wrong gate and plane, hence landed in another city 4 hours drive away from us. Her husband was waiting for her at the airport and then he was told, oops she has landed in another city. But the airline was nice enough to pay the taxi ride to the original destination.

it's very unbelievable that the airline crew can goof up so bad. don't they look at the boarding pass at the time of boarding and count the heads before taking off and matching with the destination of the passengers.
well, aajkal airport par bhaagam bhaag kaa samaa hotaa hai to kuchh bhii ho saktaa hai magar 20 saal pahle to aisaa nahiiN thaa...bas, jo honewaali baat hotii hai vo ho jaatii hai! :)

really? i never flew Air India in my life so i dunno! after hearing this from you, i will never fly with them in future. although, it's much more convenient if NOT cheaper to fly with them...in 15 hours i'm home! :)

I have no idea how it happened, but do not forget 20 years ago, the system was not computerized and they must have thought that passengers know where to board and it must have been empty seats otherwise, someone must have claimed it as theirs. Anyway aunty only found out that she landed on the wrong airport after getting out of the plane. lol
