Oooh, I went to a Japanese restaurant and they served black sesame ice-cream - it was divine! How's about that for a dessert idea?
And instead of fried bananas, how about battered and fried pineapple with ice cream? That's a popular Asian dish (whether it's authentic or not, is a separate issue).

The party is done and was a great hit, Alhumdolillah! Ended up making peach cobbler a'la mode and my guests loved it. They thought it was a perfect end to the meal. tootired right now after all the cleaning.will post recipes later. Thanks for the ideas guys. I am definitely going to try the green tea ice cream....I love starbucks green tea frappucino.
