Sounds more like ke beta so jao warna Bhow! aa jaega…yani in this case..apne aap ko achi tarha dhak lo..warna bara wala Bhow! aa jaega thori se ziada he kuch phenk di hai aap ke dost ne Faisal
Even if we buy the argument, we all know how successful this attempt to stop such acts has been…no? Behrain wahan se thora he duur hai, or so i have heard :halo:
I lived for a year in Saudi Arabia in the new King Khalid Military City (KKMC)…foreign families that were there wore sleeveless and whatnot at parties and functions, etc. However, in the marketplace, a full garb covering the face and eyes was expected.
In Riyadh, where my aunt and her family live, it’s quite strict also but due to the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city, it’s not as bad as it is on the outskirts of the city or as in Mecca and Medina.
Men lusting after women in full garb and falling in love with first look at the eyes, etc. is a wild presumption. Saudi Arabia is an extremely sexually oppressed nation, and this is evident in the male/female behaviors towards one another. The attitudes of these desperate men are fascinating and chilling at the same time considering that they can so easily fall for women who they don’t even know…literally!
I would leike to point out that the reverse of the burqa hasn't really improved the "culture of lust" in "developed countries". In any case the men should also be arrested for looking at the women, if we're talking about Islamic law.
u’ve gotta be kidding me to say that men should be arrested looking at women according to Islamic law that can’t be right. u can look but not with a lustful eye?
yeah Coconut tell him.. heavens forbid the Islam we choose to follow (which incidently is an ‘agreed upon’ version by male scholars) impose any restrictions on men!

Thats the problem with most Muslim societies PA: God is for man, and religion is for women (as the old joke goes)

What i can't believe is that they have multiple layers covering the EYES?? Yeah, religion is only for women. Keep imposing till they can't breathe.

before u know they will order women to walk covered with a card-board box, cuz these clothes still give a silhouet of a human.
Salaam
i think its a very exaggerated story. i think he forgot to mention that what they impose on these women is a perversion of the truth-Islam.
where does it say in Islam that women arent allowed to work or even drive a car alone?
Almost every guy/uncle they were all uncle to moi cause i was choti si bachi back then] that i knew had more than 3 wives. They were not allowed to go in balcony even without that abaya. Over there men can't stand the fact that clean fresh air would touch their wife's skin. On the other hand when these women go in their gatherings they literally look naked.
This is totally cultural, I have never read or heard anything this strict in Quran shareef. All it tells women is to dress modest, cover hair and chest.
Looking at this women i hear " Abuse, oppression, fear, scared"'
See we should bomb those souls who abuse innocent lives... mera bas chaley gule se ek ek ko urha don
Boy am I glad not to be Saudi Arabia. There are some morons in Qatar who just keep staring and all but its very rare that you find someone whistling or making stupid comments. Girls can move around without parents and they don't really have to worry about anything unless of course they stay in their limits and don't try to attract attention.
Abaya looks nice. A lot of Qatari, Pakistani and indain girls where it.
Gosh they are still carrying with them the medieval tribal rituals I thought Saudi Arabia is a modern state and they dont treat women as objects as they used to do in middle age!

Faisal, some exaggeration. I personally think (about chicken n egg) that their women being kept in 'abaya' made them hornier. I have lived in Saudia Arabia, Jeddah. Though Jeddah is "modern" state, but most of its "modernity" comes from foreign workers, many "Saudis" are still tribal-like/bedouin. As one of our respected members mentioned, you can't beleive what happens in Mecca, during "tawaf", its ugly and horrible, you must have noticed police keeping crowd segregated... you know why?
