I don't think rough generally means bad. It's more of a style preference. I hardly keep a clean shaved face, even for work, but I'm an epic goody goody =]

I see it as different things.. could be style, behaviour or even choice of work (ie not the typical doctor, lawyer or whatever that desis generally want)..

I like the rough look! Not keen on the clean-shave suit look as everyday, but once in a while, thats good for a change as well..
