Yeah, we are ok, thanks. 5.6 is not super-huge, but it can rattle a bunch of stuff pretty bad. No injuries are reported. There are three fault lines that go through the Bay Area, and Calaveras is perhaps the most docile. This is where it happened. In '89's Loma Prieta, the magnitude was 6.9 or something. Messed up a bunch of stuff and broke down the Bay Bridge.

5.6 wont cause that much of structural damage in calif. in the news, saw a darji's liquor store with broken liquor bottles on the floor and things like that.

yes. A 5.6 won't cause big damage. It was just a reminder that we live in Earthquake country. things shook pretty badly though. Plus it was Sideways earthquake, which is safer than up and down shakes.

I was stopped at a red light...was really scary!
