Re: 99 Names and Attributes of Allah SWT
**lemme tell you a couple of things first:
back home, due to lack of understanding of Arabic Language, if people found a piece of paper with Arabic written on it…they’ll pick it up, kiss it and touch it to each eye and then put it on a higher place like cornice or the taaq on the wall. Arabic script doesn’t always mean it’s a Qur’aanic aaya. They were extra cautious because they couldn’t read or understand the language.
some Muslims do NOT call anyone by his name if his name happened to be 'MoHammad", they would call him bu his full name like MoHammad Ahmad or Noor MoHammad…now we know that calling someone by his name [MoHammad] is perfectly alright…All Arabs call by this name whosoever has this name.
There was an Indian actor by the name of “ReHmaan” who some Muslims called Abd-ur-ReHmaan while majority of Muslims called him ReHman. we need NOT be overly cautious with 99 names of Allah. we call names like Hai saaHib, muGhni saaHib, Kareem saaHib, Jabbar saaHab and we have no problem with that. the KEY is that we can NOT add AR in front of 99 names of Allah because that will mean we are referring to Allah [AR=THE]…so, it’s absolutely alright to name someone after any one of Allah’s 99 names. wallaaho 'aalam bissawaab!**
