A counter question for you:
Since the opposite of Sher Afgan, Wasi, (seemingly the names of the only 2 ministers in this cabinet that ppl mostly retain), would be ppl from the PPP or PMLN or perhaps MMA if the govt is not formed from the Mush backing PMLQ. Who would *you *pray that your kids get a father just like, out of, Ahsan Iqbal, Zafar Jhagra, Javed Hashmi, Saad Rafiq, Ch Nisar Ali etc or Aetezaz, Amin Fahim, Babar Awan, Zardari, Naved Qamar etc or Qazi, Fazal, Hafiz, Ghafoor, Sami, Liaqat Baloch etc...!?
Besides if you have comedown to this, I would say, I wouldn't mind praying for some qualities that Musharraf has for my kids to find in me.
Would you pray for qualities of Nawaz, Zradari, Shehbaz, BB, Fazal, Qazi for your kids to find in you...?
Also, do remember, the support for the ppl in Musharraf's govt is because they are in Musharrafs govt, not because they have any angelic qualities or have any great backgrounds.
But if you find Musharraf so bad, you must also be highly in awe of the ONLY possible replacements or his opposites and they are none other than the opposition figures mentioned above. So if its not Mush and youre not too crazy about the above mentioned faces either, should we kick musharraf and wait for an ideal leader to descend from heavens as replacement?
While one might like to be a father like a prophet to their kids, one might also want a leader like Churchil, Jinnah, Lincoln, or perhaps the angel Gabriel as president, but heck, lets be real and make the best of what we have...
I am a little bz due to the preparation for the umrah... but i will just ask that if you want your son to be a doctor will you send him under the supervision of a Barber or a tailor.?
Do you think we could have gotten Quaid-e-Azam had there been Musharraf like dictatorship in those years.?
From the above list i have met with the two people and my father has dealed with one of them... Ahsan Iqbal and Liaquat Baloch and surely if you want to pray that my children be like them then i sure will not mind it... as a person they are very nice and decent, especially Ahsan Iqbal... you can disagree with their point of view but i don't think you point out much on their personality...
Regarding the remaining ministers, do you like sheikh rasheed or durrani.? or is their anyone more competent... Honestly speaking, Musharraf has filtered the worst from every political party and gathered them under his regime... thats the credit i surely don't want to take away from him..
As a last thing, may be its not related to the topic but i will like to share that i read like 5 - 6 years ago a quote from Quaid-e-Azam which he said during 1939 in Dhaka and his words were immaculate but i will just try to summarize wot he said (i will appreciate if you can find the original text) "I want that, on the Day of Judgement, when i m presented infront of my Allah, my zameer(innerself) is satisfied that i did everything till the last ounce of my capacity for the betterment of the MUSLIMS of the subcontinent."
Sometime in the solitude i do feel that we have pretty small vision, and we as a nation were blessed with a man simply out of this world... i will like for once, just for your ownself think about the struggle this single man (Quaid) did for us... just try to think the pain he will be feeling seeing the state of the country he created single handedly... we simple don't even TRY TO realise the dedication, the committment, the honesty, the selflessness and the hardwork the Quaid put for creating this country..
I myself was a supporter of Musharraf when he came to power, but after like couple of years i realise that he is
- Not honest
- Think himself as some sort of Nijaat Dahinda for the country or in other word think himself as the most wise person of this country
- Put himself above everything above..
There is no chance he will ever be good to this country...
You know the only difference Iblees and Adam had, Iblees started giving justification for his wrong doing and Adam went for repentance... rest is history now... i make wrong choices too but i don't mind accepting them.. 8 year is a long time for someone to show his true colors.
at the end i will say no matter one will opt for a doc over a tailor any day no matter how much incompetent the doc is... thats wot i have learned over these 8 years...
Just for a moment do think about how would you have felt at the current situation if you have created this country ....
