LoL! I liked that bit when ellen said ’ America didnt vote for Jennifer Hudson (when she appeared for american idol) and she won the academy. But al Gore, America did vote for him… ( a long pause and people startred laughing and clapping). LoL! Hollywood doesnt like Bush.
The Departed got the best picture.

Helen Mirren, by far, looked amazing compared to the other ladies. Nicole Kidman disappointed me this year. Her dress .... that big bow on her collar ... I personally didn't like it. Too many bows on the red carpet.

I thought Cameron Diaz looked awesome and so did Reese Wspoon. Nicole Kidman did not look human, and the red dress was so like any other.
Ellen DeGeneres is the best. Loved her.
Leo looked hot.
I didnt of course waste time watching the Oscars. Youtube rocks.

Scorcese, you legend, you finally got what many others did not deserve (and did manage to get) but what you have deserved for the past 30 years. Hats off to a brilliant career.

Ellen did okay .... i m not sure if any host can please the oscars crowd thru out the show. The performance of Will Ferrell, Black and Reilley was cool ; they were right too.... the academy never awards comedy movies ... its always some movies that common people haven't seen.

I disagree. I think Cameron needed to look great, but just looked okay (for her). I've seen her look gorgeous. And she looked dull in comparison to some of the others.
Reese looked awesome. I want that dress.
Penelope Cruz looked great. I wanted her dress too...
I like Ellen. She's quite funny and I think she did a great job.
Will Farrel and Jack Black did a great musical number as well :D

The Oscars are really boring. I only watch to see the best acting, directing, and picture awards. Oh yeah, and any Will Ferrell segments. Robert Downey Jr. insulting himself was the best moment of the night.
Nobody deserved it more than Scorcese. Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas. He's made so many fantastic movies and never won an Oscar. I think everybody in that room would've applauded for hours if he had let them. The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine were two of my favorite movies this year, so I'm glad The Departed won. Djimon Honsu had an amazing performance in Blood Diamond, I was kind of disappointed he didn't win supporting actor, but Arkin was good too. I'm glad that Whitaker won best actor though. He was a beast in Last King.
Ellen was getting painful out there as a host. Will Ferrell next year, please!

Nicole Kidman looked gorgeous! Except I didn't like that bow on the side of her neck but other than that, I think she looked the best. :)

I agree with Sahar. Reese witherspoon is such a cutie :)
I also agree with Talha that Forrest Whitaker was a beast in that movie. I have rarely seen such life-like performances.
Ellen was hillariuos at times and funny on others. Actually What I felt that organizers are trying to do something different with the academy. They were getting a bit stereotyped and they tried few different bits this time around.

cameron is SUCH a cutie. but i didnt like her dress too much, it was so wrinkly. reese’s dress was nice but reese looked sooo skinny. i wish christian bale had shown up. he woulda knocked the wind outta all the guys.
