Re: 6th September 1965 - A neutral perspective
So till this point, we are on the conclusion that Pakistan started war in 1965. Its intrusion in Kashmir, made India to retaliate not in Kashmir, but cross the International Border.

Re: 6th September 1965 - A neutral perspective
On the one hand you are crowing about how RAW planned the 71 war (Which is not correct), on the other hand you are saying Pakistan started the war when PAF attacked. Which one is it. 1971 was a pure blunder by Pakistan India just took advantage, nothing brilliant on part of India or RAW.
as for 1962 your assertion Pakistan wasn't aware what was happening is far off the mark as Bhutto who was than the foreign minister was pressing Ayub Kahn to attack in kashmir. Ayub should have listened to Bhutto. if only Bhutto was the PM than things would have been different.
Yes making of BenglaDesh is more accredited to Pakistan's internal affairs, but India did expolit the situation. I personally feel that Indias attempt wouldd fail, if bengalis wanted to live with Pakistan
Re: 6th September 1965 - A neutral perspective
I think as far as Bengalis are concerned they would have left us sooner or later, but it would have been better if things had been sorted out without bad blood.

I think this was the only time in history where majority fought minority to secede.
Re: 6th September 1965 - A neutral perspective
In the long run, it was not possible for Pakistan and Bangladesh to stay together with both wings separated by thousands of kilometers and enemy country in between. As far as the mentality of bengalis is concerned we can see that amply through the treatment of stranded Biharis and the way they recently shut the doors to the rohingyas recently. The Indians supported them in 1971, and now are crying about illegal immigrants, Pakistan is out of it, let both of them deal with each other now.

One of the big disadvantage Pakistan had during the '71 war was geographical distance between West and East Pakistan and transporting troops and ammo to Eastern wing Pakistan had to fly around India over the Indian Ocean via Sri Lanka for mobilization. Situation could have been different had there been no border gap. Not to mention other elements that had great effect on the war that included Pakistani govt.'s inabililty and failure to address the griefs of Bengalis.
