Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

for middle order batsman it should be around 40... he is well below 40 isn't he?

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

before batting powerplay Afridi was all sensible and as soon as pp started he becomes his-self and pays the price, NZ scores 70+ runs in powerplay while Pakistan lose wickets in powerplay :hehe:

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

that is true, we miss the class and talent in our batting and bowling line up...

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

and Afridi played his part ...Razzaq should have stayed there with him

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Of course, he has been made to play ODIs for too long though he was always test material, better players were made to wait. We haven't learnt lesson and we refuse to learn it.

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

u should be banned for your laziness, it cost us a match

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Sohail Tanvir being very expensive with the ball...hmmmmmmm

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Its always a worst feeling to lose last match of already won series. Aisa lagta hai sari khushi pe paani phir gaya.

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Just goes to show how much we need Misbah in the middle overs. Those of you who think he is not ODI material, without a player who can calm things in the middle overs we will have plenty of results like these. afridi has already played his one in 20 matches innings so don’t expect much from him in the next few matches.

sannan hazar ho.

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

he should be banned now for opening threads :aj:

May Allah swt give your fast and complete recovery! (ameen)
It is sunnah to say "la baas, tahooran inshallah" trans: don't worry, your shall be cured Allah willing.

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Yes however this match was a “rest the players and give someothers a chance” game.
So while Sohail flopped with his bowling, Asad, should have stepped up. Asad should have been sent 1 down instead of Kamran. YK joining later to get the run milking and 1 boundary per over plan going.
That never happened.
Also Afridi did contribute 44 at a SR of above 100 so lets not beat him at the wrong time…we will get better moments in wC to do that :hehe:

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

Afridi another very well played innings. Kamran Akmal finally delivered. Younis once again did not deliver. Too many run-outs (2) plus too many close escapes. Enjoyed watching the Akmal brothers run between the wickets. As the commentators said, they had a great understanding.

Zero_one, all the best for your surgery.

Re: 6th ODI - Pakistan vs New Zealand in Napier - Feb 05, 2011

As I sad before the bowling is weak. Sohail Tanvir got owned by NZ batsmen. That we had already won the series is no excuse for such a lack-lustre performance. There is something called professionalism.

Australia are also leading 5-1 against England and you can rest assured that they will give it their all in the 7th and final one-dayer against England and go for a 6-1 series win
