647 Pakistani Women murdered in Honor killings in 2009

“Karo-kari is a culturally acceptable practice where an individual’s honour is restored by the killing of the woman and the man perceived to have shamed him. According to a recent report by the Human Right Commission of Pakistan, 647 women were killed for the sake of ‘honour’ in 2009, up 13 per cent from 574 in 2008.”

This is gimmick for getting an expected false result. They say up 13% making it as a huge issue needing to be reported.

Ideally and philophically, even one is far too many :frowning: but 647/18000,000 = 0.000035

The media and biased minds are the problem here. OP is one of them.

More people die of other reasons like traffic accidents, drunk driving and infectious diseases and the reason media does not highlite those is because they want a particular group of people feel low of themselves.
