Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
I said it in other thread, copyNpasting here:
Dravid thoroughly outclassed Inzamam in the ODI series. Pakistan’s ODI outfit had earned its name as the one who can challenge Australia, before the series the talk was either its 5-0 to Pakistan or 4-1, rarely anyone said its 3-2 to Pakistan, now India is already 3-1, would it be 4-1 India? very likely.
Our batsmen have put us to shame.
ODI 1: Pak’s 1st wicket fell at 50, 2nd at 201.
ODI 2: Pak 1st wicket fell on 0 in 0.2 overs, 68/4 in 13.2 overs
ODI 3: Pak 1st wicket fell on 0 in 0.2 overs, 82/4 in 16.4 overs
ODI 4: Pak down 29/4 in 12.5 overs
Again and again, a big number of wickets lost were because of stupid shot by our batsmen, not really due to “good bowling”, there was good bowling too. Throughout ODI 4 Indian seamers kept moving the ball in and out of batsmen and they fell like flies. I remember once Phil Simmons of WI doing that to our great batting lineup of early 90s.
Indian fielders were on their toes and didn’t let go of any chance ( till atleast Yousuf’s wicket, when I stopped watching). How was our fielding throughout? pathetic, their might have been occasional "
whata catch" performances but overall just
![]()
Indian “veggie” bowlers kept their line and length in control, didn’t bowl “short”, either it was a bouncer or good length, there were some wayward bowling too but when the batsmen are out of their minds and into turtle shells it doesn’t matter who is bowling where. What do our “gosh khor” bowlers do? short, short, short, short, the only head above all is Mohammed Asif :k:
Overall, congratulations to all Indians fan for the series victory and their team’s wonderful performance ![]()
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
that was pathetic...everytime i make an effort to watch the game..they lose..same old pakistani team
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
Congratulations to all indian members here. Your team played really well and looked hungrier than our team. I still think our ODI team is more balanced and powerful than Indian team but our team did not fire at all, except for blanks.
But at least our bowling showed some hunger facing this small target. Good come back by Sami. Now watch him suck in next 10 matches.

Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
YAYYY!!!!
Bagged the ODI series baby! Now the last one to go, let humiliation be the key word. Awesome. Yay!!
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
.
I totally agree. No shame in accepting this fact. Pak still has better ODI team than India.
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
I'm literally disgusted and don't have a lot to say about today's game. India were clinical today and hats off to 'em for winning the ODI series.
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N
i would like to commend pakistan's effort despite losing, but i honestly can't. and this is unfortunate, because this poor showing (throughout the series) somewhat diminishes the glory for india...for example, the 2004 tour ODI series was a proper war and the glory was accordingly great. but i think winning the series is enough.
at the same time, i actually find myself pleased with the Indian bowling performance - something i haven't been able to say for a quite a while. pakistani batsmen played foolishly at times which aided the cause, but the Indian performance was a greater factor this time around (usually not the case with Indian successes). Indians bowled with visible confidence and heart, not to mention minimal stupidity (excluding RP Singh's flurry of wide balls). Indian batsmen played very well for the most part, however anything less would have been unacceptable considering the quality of the line-up...so i would say they simply fulfilled expectations rather than exceeding them.
what i take away most from the matches so far is hope that Santh and RP Singh can be honed into long-term quality bowlers. only time will tell. i would say the same if i was a Pakistani regarding Asif, though i think Asif probably has greater potential than either of the two Indian youngsters.
